Susanne Burgess, Soprano

Hailed by Manhattan School of Music as "sophisticated and full of intention" and Opera Seabrook as "a talent that promises to be incredibly important," Susanne Burgess is a young lyric soprano from the United Kingdom. In the short time since her graduation with a Full-Merit Scholarship from the University of Denver and Operatic Excellence Grant from the Denver Lyric Opera Guild, Susanne has performed with several companies in Europe and the United States. Her most recent engagements include Nedda in Pagliacci, Lady Billows in Albert Herring, Musetta in La Bohéme, Antonia/Giulietta in Les Contes d'Hoffman, Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro and Gerhilde in Die Walküre. Later this year, Susanne will perform the roles of Violetta in La Traviata with NY Opera Collaborative, and join the Apprentice Artist Program at Des Moines Metro Opera.
