Nicholas R Walters, Conductor

Nicholas Walters is the co-director of the Harmony Magnet Academy Symphony Orchestra from Strathmore, CA.  Originally from Porterville, CA, Nicholas earned his MM in Voice Pedagogy from The Boston Conservatory and a BA in Voice Performance from the University of HI.  Nicholas has performed as a bass soloist with the Honolulu Symphony Chorus, Hawaii Opera Theatre’s Young Artist Program, and at Marsh Chapel in Boston, MA.  Before college, where he was an active vocalist and Contrabass player, Nicholas served his country in the United States Marine Corps playing trombone with the Marine Forces Pacific Band in Kaneohe Bay, HI.   As well as co-directing the Symphony Orchestra, Nicholas is the Strathmore High School Spartan choir and band director, Piano-Keyboarding instructor, and an active voice teacher.
