Cameron Johnson Weiler, Conductor

Cameron Johnson Weiler is the Director of Choral Music at Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Alabama. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Choral Music Education from Samford University, and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Choral Music Education from Troy University. Cameron is in her sixth year of teaching choral music. Prior to her time at Enterprise High School, she spent three years as their junior high Choral Director. Cameron is married to Sean Weiler, Director of Bands at Enterprise High School, and is the daughter of composer and conductor Terre Johnson, with whom she shares the podium in this concert.

The Enterprise High School Chorale was formed by combining students from the entire school system for the performance of “The Wind,” commemorating the tenth anniversary of the tornado that destroyed Enterprise High School on March 1, 2007. The Chorale represents the combined efforts of the administrations and music educators of all three schools. The EHS Choral Program is well known for receiving consistent superior ratings at adjudicated events for concert and show choirs, including winning first place at Show Choir Nationals in 2007. In addition, the Enterprise City Schools are seen as a model for the support of their music education programs from both school administrators and the community.
